Every nut we supply is machined in-house at our Birmingham facility, to your exact specification, in the material and thread form you need. We Are a Manufacturer, Not a Distributor
Trojan does not buy in, stock, or resell standard catalogue fasteners. Every component is machined on our own CNC and automatic lathes in Birmingham. This means full control over dimensions, tolerances, materials, thread forms, and features. If you need a non-standard size, an unusual pitch, a legacy imperial thread, or a custom feature such as castellation or a flange, we machine it to your drawing or sample.
Importantly, when we produce standard fasteners, we do so in small batch runs that are always precision bar-turned from solid stock. We do not manufacture low-grade, mass-produced commodity items or high-volume forged nuts. This method preserves superior material integrity, sharp thread profiles, and exact dimensional accuracy across every piece.
It also means full traceability. Material certificates to EN 10204 3.1 are available for every order because we know exactly what bar stock each component was machined from. Trojan manufactures hex nuts, castle and slotted nuts, flange and collar nuts, nylon insert locking nuts, all-metal prevailing torque nuts, connector and coupling nuts, square nuts, round nuts and spacers, dome and cap nuts, wheel nuts, and bespoke specials to drawing. Non-standard and intermediate sizes as standard
Standard catalogues cover a limited range of sizes and pitches. Trojan manufactures from M3 up to M52 in metric - including coarse, fine, extra fine, and non-preferred pitches - and from 6BA to 2.1/4" in imperial and unified thread forms. If the size you need is not in any catalogue, we machine it.
Legacy and obsolete thread forms
BSW, BSF, BA, CEI, BSCy, BSG, stay thread, and other imperial forms are available as standard at Trojan. We regularly duplicate obsolete or legacy fasteners from customer samples - including pre-war components, heritage vehicle parts, and vintage machinery fixings that no distributor can supply.
A material range that covers almost every application
Our raw material stocking capability spans mild steel (EN1A, EN3B), high-tensile steel (EN8, EN16T, Grade 8, 10, 12), stainless steel (303, 304, 316, 410, 430), brass (CZ121/CW614N free-cutting, Naval Brass C46400), phosphor bronze, aluminium bronze, aluminium (6082, 2011), copper (C101), nylon, and defense-grade NES833. Mixed-thread connector nuts
Trojan machines mixed-thread connector nuts with different thread forms on each end - for example M20 metric on one side and 3/4" BSW on the other. This is a capability that standard distributors simply cannot offer.
No minimum order quantity on bar-turned runs
Single prototypes, small trial batches, and targeted production runs are all handled with equal capability. Because our processes are built on precision turning rather than multi-ton forging dies, our setup workflow is efficient enough to make small batch runs and single-unit quantities economically viable.
