After UPS lost our customer's nuts, we rushed to manufacture a new batch, in only a couple of hours we made the nuts, tested them and then sent them out.
Let's hope UPS doesn't lose these ones!
So, what are Spherical Seat nuts?
Take a look at the picture. One side is normally chamfered, the other side has a spherical chamfer. This spherical side allows it to be seated within a spherical seat washer as specified by DIN6319. So, why would you use such a nut and washer combination? Simple - it's used when locking against two components which are not-parallel to each other. The spherical nut mated to a spherical seat washer will allow up to 3 degrees of off-centre clamping.
