Connector nuts with viewing port

Trojan just manufactured 4 different sizes of these extra long connector nuts.
In addition to having a full thread running the length of these fasteners, we were also tasked to drill a through hole on one face - believed to be an inspection port because they didn't ask for this to be tapped.
The fasteners you see here have an M30 thread and are 75 millimeters long with double chamfers.
